Brickstone Properties

 

In the northern suburbs of Boston, Brickstone initially made its mark in the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of turn-of-the-century textile and carpet mills, transforming them into Class A office campus environments. Large rehabilitation projects in Andover, Newton and North Andover, Massachusetts, totaling more than two million square feet, became home to several emerging high tech companies, whose growth led to the development of Minuteman Park, a l50-acre office park in Andover, Massachusetts.

Minuteman Park currently consists of five architecturally significant low-rise office buildings, fully leased, with a total of approximately 950,000 square feet, and two Marriott hotels, a Residence Inn and a Springhill Suites. There is one remaining parcel approved for another 320,000 square foot office building. This property is widely recognized as the premier office park in Boston’s northern suburb’s commanding the highest rents in the region.

Brickstone Properties also developed a new retail shopping center in Methuen, Massachusetts. The 6l-acre parcel required complete demolition of a 600,000 square foot antiquated regional mall, new zoning entitlements and a new site plan. Co-venturing with a Boston retail property-manager, Brickstone planned, developed and fully tenanted a new regional center known as "The Loop" that is leased to national credit retailers (e.g. Home Depot, The Gap and Marshalls) and restaurants, a supermarket, and a 20-screen movie theater. The Loop comprises over 338,000 square feet of the highest grossing retail property in suburban Boston.
